Competitor Reported Our No-Buckle Belts and Got Our Listing Removed from Amazon.

As an inventor, many of my readers know that I developed BeltBro, a no-buckle belt that uses two side belts loops to hold up your pants.

Our belts are used by people who suffer from IBS, Crohn’s, wheelchair users, those having stomach surgery, or just people who have lost weight and want their pants to fit better.

It’s a product that helps a lot of people, and some even depend on it for their medical conditions that prevent them from wearing a belt.

We’ve been selling on Amazon for about 8 months, and although we’ve had a lot of issues, such as when a Chinese copycat ripped off our listing, nothing compares to what happened to us this week..

I opened my email and read “Notification of Restricted Products Removal”

“We are writing to let you know that the following detail pages have been removed from our catalog:

ASIN: B08M2XXXXX SKU: BeltBro-Titan-Pairs-Parent, Title: BeltBro Titan No Buckle Elastic Belt For Men — Fits 1.5 Inch Belt Loops, Comfortable and Easy To Use
This product has been identified as containing [REDACTED]. Amazon policy prohibits the sale of products containing [REDACTED].

Apparently, a competitor flagged my listing as containing drugs! And Amazon removed my listing!

Of course, my team immediately appealed this decision. But unfortunately, Amazon does not provide any helpful phone support, and there’s no dedicated representative to speak with that helps with my account.

This is extremely frustrating. First of all, how can a belt contain drugs? Why is there not a HUMAN anywhere to look this over this and realize a competitor is obviously trying to take down our listings?

Why does Amazon not have any decent phone support or a dedicated representative that could help with issues like this? If you call, you’re going to talk to someone overseas who has no authority to help in any way, a complete waste of time.

I pay Amazon 6 figures a year in listing and selling fees, and yet I feel completely helpless against this big tech company.

If you want to support us, please spread the word to your friends about BeltBro no-buckle belt.

In the meantime, I will likely be spending the next 1–2 weeks fighting this case and trying to restore my Amazon listings. Which means a lot less time with my family and trying to grow my small business.
